how do i put in my new clarion double din max685bt touch screen in my 97 mercury mountaineer with a factory monsoon radio with jbl speakers an factory amp and 6 disk changer,an can i some how how still use my cd changer  i think its clarion also but it is factory ,, i also need to know how to bypass the wire that makes the unit only play dvds while in park hope u can help me out it comes it tommorow

Hi Brad,

First, to install it with the factory amp, just make sure you buy the correct harness.  There is one for your vehicle that is specifically designed to integrate with the factory system.  Get that one.  An example:

As for the 6 disc changer, it might work, but it might take some time and effort to get it installed since the factory wiring most certainly won't be in a format needed to plug it into the new deck.  You'll need to ask the shop you buy your harness from if they carry any such thing.

Also, the park bypass shouldn't be a problem -- just don't hook it up.  If it thinks the car is not in park and refuses to work, then ground it out.  But be careful, it's illegal in many states, and you don't wanna kill yourself watching a DVD when you should be watching the road.
