Chrysler Repair: fuel pump / other, little bulge, 1996 grand caravan

I have a 1996 dodge Caravan , it stalled on me the other day
and wouldn't start again , my friends who helped me move it
off the road are sure its the fuel pump because we don't
hear it working like we usually do. is the fuel pump for
this model inside the gas tank or above it ? 1996 Grand
Caravan 3.0 6 cyl front wheel drive

Hi Paula,
It is inside the fuel tank, but first I would check the 2 fuses that are involve in powering the fuel pump. I have the '95 and the '98 manuals but to tell you which specific fuses to look at I need to know about the power distribution box in the engine compartment of your '96. Is it narrow and long with about 15 relays (like the '98),
OR is it rectangular with about 8 relays (like the '95) and a little bulge on one end)? Let me know and I can tell you exactly which fuses to check.
