hi, ive got a chrysler neon lx 16v,1996cc reg:- s504geu , date
of first registration is 14-01-1999, what i need to know, is
it a mark1 or mark2 model cause it needs a new engine and ive
been asked if its mk1 or mk2 and i dont know!

Hi Jenny,
I haven't heard of that term either. Ask the vendor or servicperson what is the difference if you said 1 or 2?  Then we can probably figure out which you have. It may mean single or double overhead cam (SOHC or DOHC) and if that is the case then tell me what is the letter in the 8th position of the VIN. Both those are available in the 2.0L size.
