Chrysler Repair: 2000 sebring conv. 2.5 cranks wont start, crank pulley, 4 digit numbers

Question
QUESTION: car has 75k miles trouble free. I went to start after sitting 5 hrs. crancks but no spark and no pulse at injectors.have swapped fuses and relays around ,no change. I have replaced plugs, wires, rotor, and cap, distributor and egr valve. Ihave tested for fuel, I can hear pump prime when key on. I have tested power and ground at crank pos. sen. and ASR seems to be working. Any help greatly aprectiated.

ANSWER: Hi Steve,
It could be that the crank sensor is not functioning. Measure the voltage between the gray/black and black/light blue wires while you turn it over by hand with a socket on the crank pulley and with the ignition in the 'run' position. You should see it pulse from 5 to 0.3V several times per revolution. You can check at the sensor or at pins 32 and 43 of the pcm.
You would also want to verify that the rotor is turning as a check against the possibility that the timing belt is broken.
The other approach would be to get any fault codes that might be stored in the pcm. Turn the key 'on-off-on-off-on and leave on' doing that in 5 seconds or less elapse time. Then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage reading changes to show any 4 digit numbers preceded by a P. Let me know and we'll go from there.

QUESTION: Hi again. I did the voltage check and idid get voltage pulse, I also verified timing belt is not broken, and i have tried several times with obd2 reader and with key and no codes show up. I have noticed that the dash light for the cruise control lights up when cranking. I don't recall noticing that before now.

ANSWER: That is puzzling. I would try to jump across the ASD relay contact points to see if will run that way. The points are the inboard and outboard-most pins in the socket. That will put 12v on the coil and the fuel injectors and thus test whether we have 'drivers' for those devices or not.

QUESTION: Hi Roland
I tried jumping across the contact points front to back, and side to side ,it did not fire either way. I am going to recheck crank sensor and want to verify do you mean the pins on the pcm itself or the holes on the cable connectors. thanks again for your help.

Answer
Hi Steve,
The cables need to be plugged into the pcm. You will need to take some fine straight pins and probe where the wire inters the connector to make contact with the internal conductor to measure the voltage pulsing.
If that isn't accessible, then you would need to probe at the sensor itself (gray/black and black/light blue).
