Chrysler Repair: Power window/door lock: 04 Ram, side doors, door switch

Question
My drivers side rear window has stopped working at the window and at the front control also the RKE and main control now only operate the passenger side doors. I seem to be getting power to the main control for that window but not sure if I have power to the rear control Is this a module or relay and if so where is it located?

Answer
Hi Cleve,
The power window currents are all routed through main control so I would start at that switch to verify that it is working. Check first that you have power on both pins 1 and 2 of the 12-pin connector compared to the black wire on pin 8. The wires on 1 and 2 are orange/dark blue and orange/light blue. If that is ok then go to the right rear door switch and verify that you have 12v on pins 2 and 4 of that switch compared to pin 6 (assuming that you haven't 'locked out' all the windows). If you have that then the motor should drive the window. Try the local switch and you should see +12V or -12V when you put the leads on pins 1 and 5 of the switch as you ask for up or down. If you see that, but no motion of the motor then the motor is bad. If you don't, then the switch at the door is bad internally. You could try spraying some contact cleaner inside the switch through a crack in its body to clean the internal contacts. If you don't get voltage to the passenger switch on 2 and 4 then there is a disconnect at one of two connectors between the main switch and the door switch.
On the door locks on the left side, there is one light green wire on pin 10 of the 26-pin white plug at the insturment cluster that carries current from both of those locks, so I suspect that wire is somehow disconnected between the cluster plug and a white disconnect (pin 17) located at the left end of the instrument panel (underneath). So check that wire and its continuity.
It is a very congested wiring situation which is hard to describe but I have tried my best.
