Chrysler Repair: Removing a front passenger side door, electrical harnesses, door hinge

Question
How do you remove a passenger side front door on a 2003 voyager?  Will I need to remove the front 1/4 panel to get to all the bolts?

Answer
Hi Jim,
I believe the procedure for replacing the door would be the same as replacing a door hinge, as that would be the place to sever the connection. You would open the door and support it in a steady position using some sort of lifting device. Then mark the position of the hinge plate on the door. Then remove the bolts holding the hinge to the door.
Also disconnect the electrical harnesses between the door and the panel adjacent to the door opening. You will probably need to remove the cowl trim panel in front of the door opening to access the disconnecting plug/socket pairs. The cowl panel trim (at the door opening edge) is held in place by hidden clips and you would start by removing the door sill plate. Then the panel will come out, I believe.
The manual I am working with just describes that you remove the bolts at the hinge so I doubt anything else is involved.
