Chrysler Repair: Concorde 2000 wont start, chrysler concorde, fuel injection system

Question
Hey, yesterday car was turned on and working fine, suddenly engine shut down for no reason, car was actually idle, the low gas light was turned on, i thought it was a gas issue, when i placed 1 gallon of gas to restart the car, it didnt start at all, it crank but didnt start, I checked relays and everything fine, while checking on camshaft sensor the electrical part doesnt have fire on it,( i checked it w a multimeter) no spark, what could be the reason
Answer:    Hi George,
The cam shaft sensor either has 8v (orange wire) of 5v (violet/white wire) when the ignition is in the 'run' position. I know the '99 had that 8v voltage/wire color, and the '04 had the 5v, but either way you should show voltage. If not, then check fuse N in the under dash box and fuse 13 in the box behind the left endcap of the dash. Those are the fuses that power the pcm from which the voltage supply to the sensor derives.
Otherwise, try turning the ignition key:'on-off-on-off-on and leave on', doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage reading changes to show instead a 4-digit number prefixed with a P. If so let me know that number and we'll go from there. That would be a fault code and it would tell us what the powertrain controller thinks is the problem. Also tell me which engine you have.

hi roland

When you mean Fuse ¨N¨ which fuse youre talking about? fuse 13 refers to fuel pump and it is ok, camshaft sensors were replaced, problem is fire to the fuel injection system, can you please show me a diagram for that fuse, if possible, It could be a false contact ?? the codes that appeared on the odometer window were:

p1684
p0340
p1388
p1490
p1489
p1282
p1685

chrysler concorde 2000, 3.2l engine

The race for "expert of the month" is going down to the wire.
Chrysler "repairer" vs Microsoft "coder".

Hi George,
Fuse N is the out-board most 30A fuse in the Front row of 7 fuses, that being in the group of 14 fuses (two rows of 7 each).
The 1684 means the battery was disconnected recently. The 0340 means the cam sensor signal is no good. The 1388 is about the ASD relay control circuit not working, the 1489 and 90 are about the 2 fan relay circuits not working, 1282 is about the fuel pump relay circuit not working, and the 1685 says that the sentry key immobilizer got an invalid or wrong key message.
So check fuse N; and then I would also disconnect the battery for a minute, reconnect it, try to start the vehicle, then readout the codes again. By doing that you will get a fresh reading on the codes (except the 1684 will still be there. Did you try to start the car with the wrong key?
I don't have a scanner so I will have to work by describing where the fuse is. The codes about the relay control circuits have in common that they are powered by the ignition switch from fuse G, which is right behind fuse N, in the back row of 7, the most out-board of that row as well. I doubt that one is bad, so I am hoping that it is N that is causing the no start. Or could it be the key you are using is invalid?
