Chrysler Repair: 97 LHS Heater Motor resistor/module, blower motor resistor, panel edge

Question
Roland, I was reading your answer concerning the blower motor resistor.  My question is this:  Is the access to the resister just by removing the glove box & the lower right panel?  Can you give me some idea where the retaining screws are that hold the panel?  Is it necessary to remove the passenger kick panel under the dash?  Many thanks.

Hi Jon,
It is easier to see the situation if you remove the lower panel edge of the dash on the passenger side. Just locate the blower housing on the underside at the right end. Note the motor wires and follow them directly to the resistor block or blower module (depending upon if you have conventional or ATC).
Remove the plug(s) from same. Note screws that hold it in place (resistor block has one on each end of the face where the plug socket is, ATC module I am not sure as to number of screws but it should be visible). No need to remove the glove box in either case.
