Chrysler Repair: Will not shift out of park, pawl, sebring

I have a 2007 Sebring that will not shift out of park. What might be the problem?

Are you parked on an incline? If so, have a helper(s) push the vehicle in the oppostite direction of the tilt so as to remove the pressure of gravity on the parking brake pawl while you try to shift it.
