Chrysler Repair: 2001 TownCountry AC not working, radiator repair shop, cabin filter

Question
When I open my cabin filter there are oil (orange looked). My question:
1. why there are oil on my cabin filter.
2. my ac is stop working (ac clutch is not engaging).
How can I fix my ac to make it work normal again?

Answer
Hi Hendry,
I can only guess about the orange oil...it might be a sign of leakage from the refrigerant system of the AC unit, but I can't be sure of that. In any case, the non-function of the AC may also be due to a loss of refrigerant in the system. There is a sensor that detects when the amount of refrigerant in the system has fallen to too low a level for safe operation of the compressor and thus prevents the compressor from operating. My suggestion would be to go to an independent AC/radiator repair shop and let them analyze the reason. That is the most efficient way to resolve the problem.
