Chrysler Repair: heater air flow out of synch:Sebring convert, air flow control, fuse box

Question
On my 2000 Sebring convertible, the air flow control knob only directs air down, thru the 'heating duct pathway' with the know at the 'heat/defroster, 1 o'clock' position. With the know straight up, at 12 o'clock, hot air comes out of the A/C dashboard ducts. Help. How to get the air flow doors to operate correctly? Might you or Kevin have some ideas?

Answer
Hi Joel,
The simplest expanation is that the door which directs the air, called the mode door, is out of calibration. Try removing fuse #5 from the fuse box under the dash for a couple of minutes, then when you put it back in the distribution system will recalibrate and hopefully things will be squared away again.
