Chrysler Repair: 2005 Chy T&C Van Fuel Rail Leak, raw metal, independent shop

Question
I have a 2005 Cry T&C that is leak on top of the engine.
Just to the right where the fule line comes to the top and turns Left to go across the top of the injetors.  The actual fuel line is coated with protection but the 90 degree turn is just raw metal.  There is a dripping leak on to the top of the engine.

Can we just replace a O ring?
Would you replace the whole fuel rail assby for safety?
What would you do?

Answer
Hi Curtiss,
In general with all the engines that have fuel rails, once the rail starts to leak, except where there are standard fittings to connect to the ends of the rail, you are required to replace it in its entirety. The fuel pressures are around 50 psi and there is no way that I know of to seal the leak. You certainly could ask at a competent independent shop to see if they have another opinion. I would get to this soon so that you don't have an engine fire.
