Chrysler Repair: 1999 Sebring LXi: turn signals stuck on one side, turn signal switch, xerox copy

Question
I need the same help as the person asking about the turn signal. Mine is also stuck on flashing for the left signal. Will not work on right side and never turns off as long as car is running. 4 way flashes work fine. I need the step by step instructions for checking this in the steering wheel. Thanks so much in advance. Also if I have to buy the part, what is it called?

Answer
Hi Christine,
It is called the "column switch"(turn-signal switch portion). Probably the switch is mechanically damaged internally which you may be able to repair once you take it apart. Or it could be a short in the wire that activates the right side, at/near the switch. The best thing for me to do is to xerox copy and mail you the pages from the manual that show how to do this. Is this a sedan or a convertible body? Use the 'thank/rate' tab below to get back with a postal mailing address. There is a space for comments.
May I ask a favor? While at that tab where you see the question about 'nomination for expert of the month" if you would be so kind as to enter 'yes' I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.
