Chrysler Repair: 1995 concorde: theft alarm wont disarm, door hinge, door key

Question
we lost the remote access to the car and are using a key to unlock the doors.  when door is unlocked with the key, alarm sounds.  tried disconnecting battery and resetting, but alarm keeps sounding.  what can we do?  thanks for any answer.

Answer
Hi Michelle,
I hope everything works out with the theft alarm problem. Please let me know by using the 'thank/rate' tab below.
While you are there, if I might ask a favor: where it asks about a 'nomination for expert of the month' I would appreciate your entering a 'yes'. I am in a close race for that honor so every vote counts!

Hi Michelle,
It probably means that the wire from the door lock to the body computer has broken. You can do two things, at least. One is to unlock the opposite door (passenger side, I presume) as it's wire may still be good. The other would be to avoid setting the alarm in the first place. If you find the remote, don't use it anymore. Don't use the power door locks to close things down before you exit. Instead, use the door key or the interior mechanical push buttons to secure the doors when you are leaving. That way, the alarm is never set. Of course you could fix the wire, probably fatigued at the door hinge, but that may not be something you want to get into. Unfortunately, the alarm system is part of a large device, the body computer, so you can't disconnect it.

PS Use the thank/rate tab below to get back to me without having to wait for me to be available to take a question. There is a space for comments to which I will reply. While you are there, if you would be so kind as to fill in a 'yes' where you see the question about 'nomination for expert of the month' I would be most appreciative.
