Chrysler Repair: 1992 Le Baron wet floors, rubber flap, inner fender

Question
Hi, I have a 92 lebaron conv. the floors are always wet I dont think its coming from the roof nothing but the floor is wet any ideas  ? I have heard of other lebaron owners having this problem.

Answer
Hi Mike,
Yes this is common and fairly easily corrected, assuming that we are speaking of water intrusion that begins at the rear of the cabin and works forward. The water that get in around the top goes to the floor and slopes to either side inner fender well area. On the floor of those areas are drain holes that become plugged. If you look along the seam that runs along the underbody from the front of the rear wheel well toward the door opening you  will find a rubber flap that covers the hole, on either side. Look/feel under the rubber flap to find the holes and clear their plugged condition with a stiff wire so the water can drain out. Keep up with that preventive maintenance and you will solve this problem.
