Chrysler Repair: 1989 Chrysler tcm convertable, tcm, nomination

I'm having a problem with the rear motor for the conv. top. It won't release or pull down. I's there a manual release somewhere so I can repair or replace so as to put on the hardtop?

Hi Ron,
If you get into the back area where the pump is located you will find a by-pass valve with a knob which when opened will allow you to move the top mechanism by hand, without having to struggle against the internal pressure of the fluid. I believe it is on the motor/pump assembly itself but if you can't find it then look each of the lift cylinders for such a set of valves.
