Chrysler Repair: 03 3.5L Concorde with dkgrn/ Lt Grn wire, wiring harnesses, dipstick tube

Question
RolandThanks for your quick reply a couple of days ago. After looking at everything you said and looking again everywhere. I have disconnected the coils one at a time and found that when I dosconnect #5 coil pack while car is running there is no change to how rough the car is running.
The wire that is hanging loose (by the trans dipstick tube)Dk Grn/Lt grn 16 ga. with a small plug on the end. The wire is only 6 inches long so isn't long enough to reach the PCM or anything for that fact. From what I can gather with the wiring schematic, it looks like this is the feed wire to #5 coil but when I check the voltage on the Dk Grn wire at the coil, there is voltage there and the wire that is loose also has 14 volts. I believe that either this wire has always been loose and not plugged into anything or the other half of the what the wire was plugged into is gone. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I can get a picture if needed. Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving

Answer
Hi Tony,
As I mentioned in the answer, try looking for a small electical component perhaps mounted directly on the block or the cylinder head nearby to the free wire. It might be hidden from view by another part. The other bank of cylinders should have an identical 'extra' wire that is plugged into its identical 'capacitor'. It should be identical wiring harnesses for the dark green/light green wires on each bank of cylinders, so just compare the two sides. I am sure you will find the item somewhere nearby. Please let me know if you find it.

PS Thanks for the nomination. If you care to do it again, I would be very appreciative. I'm in a contest with another expert who is very aggressive (perhaps going to unusual lengths to keep up).
