Tips on Buying Cars: new car contract cacellation, car contract, best customer service

Question
I live in Texas, recently purchased a new truck. It had a scratch
on a door, the dealer said that they would take care of it. They had it for five days, they called me up and said that it was ready, but when i arrived to pick it up i noticed that they just buffed the door and the scratch is still visible. I talked to the manager and let him know that i am very disappointed with their service. I would like to know what options do i have, could i trade it for another truck or even cancel my contract. The manager said that I could not swap it for another truck because the truck had been registerd. I drove the truck overnite and returned it the next day,so that it could be detailed.

Answer
Pete:Hi!It depends on which manager you spoke to.Sales or General manager.Because the the General manager is retain the best customer service for the the dealership. Also was the scratch to be fixed put in writing? This way it protects you. Good luck! Don
