Chrysler Repair: staggering / missing when on highway, obd ii code reader, odometer reading

Question
hi - hope you can help me... My problem is a bit difficult to explain for a Dane, but my Chrysler 300m 2,7L is kind of staggering when driving with constant speed or light acceleration..  as if it holds back 2-3 times a second.  Fuel pressure is ok...  I was thinking, maybe one cylinder is setting out every second time ? - computer reads no problems...   Also - once in a while when starting in the morning, only 5 cylinders for a minute or two. ?   Chrysler Denmark has never heard of similar problem....

Answer
Hi Henrick,
I would wonder if the fault code readout was done correctly. There are hundreds of different codes for almost every possible malfunction, including "missing" which is what the term for staggering is over here. In fact the code number will tell you which cylinder is missing.
So I would suggest that go to an independent shop that has an OBD-II code reader (that is the technical term for the code series that applies to post-'95 vehicles).
Just on a chance: use the ignition key as follows:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch to see if the odometer reading changes from km travelled to show any 4-digit code numbers which would be the fault codes. This doesn't always work, depending upon the year of manufacture.
If not, then do try another shop for a readout and let me know the results.
