Chrysler Repair: 1999 Chrysler Cirrus Rims, chrysler cirrus, 1999 chrysler cirrus

Question
I have a couple of OEM 15" rims that don't seal well anymore.  The local tire dealer said they need replaced.  My Cirrus has 115,000 miles on it.  I'm not looking at spending a lot of money.  What would you suggest:

 - Get 4 14" rims?
 - Get 2 14" rims and use with 2 15" rims
 - Get 2 15" rims?

The 14" tires would be a lot cheaper too.

Thanks,

Joe

Answer
Hi Joe,
I would believe that the car was designed for 14" tires, with 15" as an option. If two of the original rims have already failed, I would lean toward switching to 14" at all four wheels, because the other two may go out soon also. You will get a better ride too, in my opinion. Check the tire pressure sticker on the door opening for the proper size 14" tire to buy.
