Chrysler Repair: AC service ports, chrysler concorde lxi, 1999 chrysler concorde lxi

Question
QUESTION: Where can I locate the high and Low Side AC service port on a 1999 Chrysler Concorde LX?

ANSWER: Hi Raffy,
The discharge line port is at the compressor, while the suction port is shown to be just beyond the rubber hose that appears to begin near the compressor and then runs back and up toward the firewall where it attaches to a metal tube where that port is located, approximately in line with the rear bank of cylinder (and in front of the engine). Those are terms used in the manual (discharge and suction) rather than high and low pressure.  I hope this is helpful to you.

QUESTION: Hi Roland,
I am very sorry, I think I gave you the wrong info. My vehicle is a 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi 3.2. I can only see two ports and they are both attached to the compressor and have grey caps that say H and L, are these the ports I am looking for? If I am right, is it the smaller port (L)where the AC is recharged?
Thanks again.
Raffy

Answer
Yes, Raffy it is the low pressure side where you add the refrigerant. Now, it my turn to admit an error. I just realized that I looked in the Sebring manual instead of the LH manual and that you are correct. Both L and H are on the compressor! The fittings are designed to only mate with the proper "side", low to low.  Does you kit give you the instructions for the procedure?
