Chrysler Repair: O2 Sensor?, shea, roland

There is a wire that runs down in the direction of the starter   on my '91 laberon. I can not for the life of me figure out where it goes. It is very small and someone suggested that it be an O2 sensor. I have no idea what it is, i just want to hook it back up. I discovered this after replacing the transmission.

Hi Shea,
Have you checked the plug at the end? and does it have one or two wires, or 4 wires, and what are the colors? The O2 sensor has four wires, the distance sensor on the transmission has two wires (black/light blue and white/orange, or both black depending upon which trans/engine you have).
Let me know the answers to those questions and I can give you more help. If the trans distance sensor was disconnected you would not have speedo function.
