Chrysler Repair: 1998 Sebring rear stoplight replacement, water trough, rear attachment


Question
How do I get to the rear stop light to replace blubs, also would it be a good idea to replace all of the rear lights, and the front signal ligjhts also?

CENTER HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP (CHMSL) BULB
The center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) has no serviceable bulb. If the lamp does not function properly, the CHMSL assembly must be replaced.


CENTER HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP (CHMSL)
REMOVAL
Remove upper deck molding. Refer to Body, for proper procedure.
Remove screws holding CHMSL assembly to upper deck molding Center High Mount Stop Lamp
Remove trunk trim panel as necessary to disengage CHMSL wire connector.
Separate CHMSL from upper deck molding.
INSTALLATION
Position CHMSL to upper deck molding.
Engage CHMSL wire connector and reposition trunk trim panel.
Install screws holding CHMSL assembly to upper deck molding.
Install upper deck molding. Refer to Body, for proper procedure

UPPER DECK MOLDING
REMOVAL
Lower convertible top to midway position.
Remove screws holding upper deck molding to rear deck panel above convertible top rear attachment.
Open trunk.
Remove screws holding upper deck molding to rear deck panel inside trunk water trough.
Disconnect wire connector for CHMSL.
Separate upper deck molding from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Position upper deck molding on vehicle.
Connect wire connector for CHMSL.
Install screws holding upper deck molding to rear deck panel inside trunk water trough.
Install screws holding upper deck molding to rear deck panel above convertible top rear attachment.
Raise and secure convertible top.
