Chrysler Repair: 97 Concorde LX - All dashboard lights go out, gauge speedometer, concorde lx

Question
The other night I went for a drive to blockbuster, when I turned on the car, I noticed the ONLY lights on my dash board (IE emergency brake light, fuel gauge, speedometer, engine heat, gears) were the back lights, it was like nothing was registering. Also while driving, it wasn't registering how fast I was going, it didn't move a milimeter, the next day I go out to check my fuse box (I don't know much about cars and I figured that was a good place to start), I turn on the car, move it to a closer parking space to my apartment, and all of a sudden it starts working.. Any ideas for something I should be looking out for in the future?

Answer
Hi Ryan,
It could be a failure of the 2-wire electrical connections between the dashboard and the body computer. This connection carries digital data to operate all the gauges. If this happens check to see if the odometer instead of showing mileage says "no bus" which refers to this specific digital data "bus". Then some further testing can be done as long as the condition persists. When intermittent you have to catch it "in the act".
