Chrysler Repair: 91 dodge dynasty fuel rail: 3.0L V-6, dodge dynasty, postal mail

Question
Is there any other way to repair or modify the fuel rail safely when it leaks at the u shaped pipe on the drivers side, other than to have a dealership replace it? (Local dealer wants $850 including $125 in labor to do it.) Any info or diagrams or instructions would be greatly appreciated. I only paid $300 for the car and had it 2 months.

Answer
Hi Derek,
I haven't investigated what sort or metal work might repair the fuel rail. But I suspect it is difficult/costly.  At the price of a new one, I would suggest going to a pull-it-yourself wrecking yard and finding a 3.0 V-6 engine in a Chrysler Corp. vehicle from that era and removing it yourself. If you want the steps of the procedure to remove and install it let me know. Use the "thank and rate" tab where there is a comment space to enter your postal mailing address. I will xerox a copy and postal mail it to you.
