Chrysler Repair: Replacing Thermostat, chrysler cirrus, 1997 chrysler cirrus

Question
I have a 1997 Chrysler Cirrus. Im having an overheating problem and the heat never actually gets warm. From this I have concluded that I need to replace the thermostat. Can you tell me where it is located, how to get to it, and how to replace it? Also is it something that I can do myself or would it just be easier to take it somewhere?
