Chrysler Repair: ac/heat blower problem: LH body, chrysler concord, gromet

Question
Roland i have 1996 chrysler concord recently had a smell like burning wire then check engine light came on then blower stopped working , checked fuse blown, replaced blew again . must be blower motor or resistor block or power module . my ? where is the the blower can l get to by taking glove box out. thanks Bruce

Answer
Hi Bruce,
The blower motor is on the underside of the right hand end of the unit. No need to remove the glove box. Just take off the bottom of the dash panel, a silencer-duct, on the right side of the dash to give you access to the under side of the blower distribution unit. The wire plug to the motor is plugged into the resistor block in the adjacent duct. You could jump directly to the motor wire to see if that is the issue or not. To exchange the motor, simply remove the gromet on the wire, remove the lid of the blower housing, then unscrew the screws that hold the motor in place snd lower it out of the housing.
