Chrysler Repair: key alarm, chrysler new yorker, chrysler dealer

Roland, i have a 91 Chrysler new Yorker.  I just recently lost my alarm to my car.  I can't seem to get it started, it cranks up, but goes dead right away.  I have tried using my key to lock and unlock but that isn't working. Do you have any other ideals on how i can deactivate the alarm. Chrysler dealer is telling me that they no longer make the remotes for this particular car at the time.

Hi Henry,
My thinking is that you would be better off just disconneting the alarm system unless you want to repair the wiring to the locks. Let me know which type of instrument cluster you have (conventional or electronic) and I can tell you how to fool the system into disarming so you can start the car. Once you have done that then you can pull the plug on the alarm system and be done with it.
