Chrysler Repair: ignition key hangs up in lock,: 94 LH car, lock cylinder, fan blower

Question
we have a 1994 crysler concorde that without notice never know when its going to happen will not let us take key out of ignition car will turn off but will not go that extra click to remove key if you think ignition needs to be replaced is it expensive and a lot of work we also have a problem with the blower coming on which i read from someone else and it would stop as soon as we got to garage car has a mind of its own

Answer
On the lock cylinder, I would suggest that you use a small tube of powdered graphite grease and put the small tip at the interface between the lock cylinder and its housing and squeeze on the sides of the plastic container to blow some of the graptite into the circumferential slot. Then see if things move better with the key. If not, then write back for instruction on removing the cylinder. I suspect the cylinder rather than the ignition switch, but only inspection will tell.
On the fan, tell me whether you have the conventional or automatic temp controller. And please describe specifically what it does or doesn't do based on the settings of the fan blower. It wasn't clear to me.
