Chrysler Repair: 1999 T&C ...cant get interrior lights to work ...also has weird noise, vehicle security system, amp fuse

We just purchased a 1999 T&C and it runs and looks to be in excellent condition.......but the interior lights wont work. The dash lights and stereo lights work but no Dome lights or reading lamps.  Also there is a weird buzzing and lock clicking sound every 10min. or so and also if we take off a little fast ,It makes the same noise. We thought it might be the rear hatch not close securely but it is still making this noise.

Hi Laura,
I would start by checking fuse #18 in the power distribution center box in the engine compartment near the battery. If that is not blown then we can go further, but first see if it is blown and if so replace it with a new 15 amp fuse.
The vehicle security system includes power locks including one for the hatch, but it would help to know exactly where the sound is coming from and whether there is any mal-funciton associated with it. So please try to identify the source and any other symptoms. I suspect that the sensor that tells the system whether the hatch is closed and locked or not thinks that it isn't so it is trying to lock the lock back there.
