Chrysler Repair: 93 Concord electrical gremlins: gauges/wipers/blower, electrical gremlins, chrysler drb

Question
I have a 93 concord with electrical gremlins. I will occasionally lose all dash gauges, the wipers may come on for no reason and the heater fan will go to high with no way of shutting it down. These problems will show up at variest times. Bumps or turning don't seem to have an affect. I have a fault code 66 and 25. I believe the 25 code is not related. After reading past questions, I removed the BCC cleaned the terminals and re-installed it. I also checked and tightened the ground wires inside the center counsel. The 66 code cleared for a while and returned about 15 minutes later. Any suggestions where I should go with it from here?
Thanks,Wayne

Answer
Hi Wayne,
All those problems are with systems (assuming you also have the ATC A/C head unit) that are dependent upon the digital data bus communication system. The 66 code is consistent with that because it identifies a loss of messaging. The system includes many modules (engine, trans, body, cluster, ATC, and if equipped ABS and overhead console, and of course the air bag) and they are connected by a twisted pair of wires. Sorting out what is wrong would most likely require a readout using the Chrysler DRB II reader and a "vehicle communincation" manual for that time period. Unless the problem is permanent I would wonder if anything can be done at present while it is intermittent. About all I can suggest is to check the plugs and harnesses around all the modules for any damage or intrusion of water. I have a DRB II and the manual so if you are by chance in the San Francisco Bay area we could see what we see.
I hope this is of some help, nonetheless.
