Chrysler Repair: 96 chrylser concorde 3.3L 43k miles, republic of panama, full tank

Question
QUESTION: When car is driven up mountain it quits after 80 miles. It feels like no gas. Or
if I stop it won't start again. All lights and electrical are operational. Engine
will crank but not catch. Need to wait 15 minutes then it starts. I am driving
from sea level to 3200 feet in 45 minutes. Last night it would not start twice.
Full tank of gas.

ANSWER: possible fuel pump

QUESTION: Perhaps I should clarify, the drive is up extreme switchback two lane road in
republic of Panama not a US interstate. When it stops on its own, it is as if the
ignition was shut off, not as if it runs out of gas. The car has very low mileage
43,000 for its age. Also car sat in storage for 10 months unused. Could it be
sedentary gas?  Or a sensor for the fuel pump? Car runs fine except for this
45 minute mountain climb.

ANSWER: I heard what u said. ( It feels like no gas. Or
if I stop it won't start again. )   Thats what i got out of it.  now u are telling me (When it stops on its own, it is as if the ignition was shut off, not as if it runs out of gas)
So which is it???  there is no  sensor  just a float level unit that tell u how much gas u do have in the tank.

I still say its a fuel pump.

QUESTION: I appologize for the confusion. It is as if the ignition shut off. The car runs
fine all other times. Only quits or will not start after climbing mountain for 45
minutes.

Answer
and once again  I say its a fuel pump.

Once it quits on u going up the hill U haft to wait for 15 20 min b4 it will start up again correct?  IF that is right  the fuel pump is nothing but an electric motor getting hot as u drive up the hill. When it cools down it will work just fine.
The pump will need to work harding going up the hill because it will need to deliver more fuel for the engine.
