Chrysler Repair: Odometer readings, odometer readings, odometer reading

Question
What is the maximum odometer reading found in a 1989 Dodge Ram pick-up, would it be 99,999.9 or 999,999.9? I ask because someone had mentioned their odometer rolling over and generally thought odometers from those years would allow for 7 characters 999,999.9.

Hi Graham,
I have an '89 LeBaron Coupe, and it has a 6 digit odometer (which would go to 999,999 miles (no tenths)) and a trip odometer of 4 digits (which would go to 999.9 miles). I haven't seen your cluster, but I doubt it would only go to 99,999 miles before going back to 0. That would not be typical.
