Car Alarms: 2003 mitisbuishi elcipse gs, eclipse gs, valet service

I bought a 2003 eclipse gs. When i got it i noticed the keyless entry remote didnt work very well I had to mash the buttons to get it to wrk. I am a us marine and a month after buying the car i was deployed to iraq and that is where i still am. I left my car in the care of my uncle. I'm coming home in 2 weeks and and my uncle told me my car alarm remote wont wrk and my car wont turn over cause the alarm keeps goin off. how do I fix this?

Gotcha, ok tell uncle to put it into valet/service mode,
and try to reset the alarm to default mode.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried. Leave it this way until
youcan get home to get new transmitters.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode when this was corrected.
