Chrysler Repair: 1988 Dodge d150 3.9 v6 5spd. cracked bell housing, dodge d150, bell housings

I would like to know if there are any other year bell housings that would fit a 1988 Dodge d150 pickup with a 3.9 v6 and 5spd trans. I am thinking about buying the truck if I could find a usable bell housing. The one
on the truck works for the clutch but is cracked on the bottom and the starter doe not ingage with the key. You have to kick start the truck.

I need to tell you that I claim no expertise in the Dodge truck line of vehicles, and state that on the home page.
I would wonder if a dealer might not have parts manuals from the late 80's. It is very likely that the bell housing wasn't unique to '88, but you are wise to ascertain what range of years will work.
