Chrysler Repair: 1995 Chrysler LeBaron Blower Motor Problems, blower motor resistor, chrysler lebaron

Question
I'm researching why I would lose one speed (third of four speeds) of the heater/ac blower motor.  Could the blower motor resistor block cause this or could it be just a bad fan switch? Also where is the blower motor resistor block on my LeBaron?  Thanks.  Tim

Answer
Hi Tim
If a resistor in the resistor block blows, you can loose three, two or one speed depending upon which resistor blows. So if you lose one speed it would have to be the lowest speed, and working up from there as resistors up the chain are blown.
The resistor block is located above and behind the glove box which has to be removed to reach it. Just follow the wires from the blower to find it. The box has screws around the door opening for removal.
