Chrysler Repair: A/C-Heater Fan Motor:replacing, chrysler lebaron, 1991 chrysler lebaron

Question
What are the steps for removing/replacing the a/c-heater fan motor on a 1991 Chrysler LeBaron?

Answer
Hi Dan,
These steps apply to many of the vehicles from the mid-80's to the mid-90's;
Disconnect battery (-) post clamp,
Remove glove box, held in place by screws around the door opening
Remove 2 screws at top of the blower housing that secure it to the unit cover. Release motor wire plug from socket nearby.
Remove 5 screws from around the blower motor housing and separate the blower housing from the unit
Remove 3 screws securing the blower and wheel assembly to the heater/AC housing and separate the assembly from the unit. The air wheel is held to the motor shaft by a spring clamp.
Assembly is the reverse.
