Chrysler Repair: 2005 Pacifica Randomly Wont Start, car dashboard, chrysler vehicles

Question
QUESTION: The car has 29k on it. Otherwise runs fine. It won't start on occasion... when I turn the key... it just clicks repeatedly. When we jump the car - it always starts. So I thought it was battery or alternator... but the dealer says its not after testing it. I first thought we had left a light on or something... but its not that.

In fact we sat at the dealer - left the lights, radio, doors open for 30 minutes. The car started just fine... so its not just a low voltage problem... have you seen or heard of this before in other Chrysler vehicles?

ANSWER: clicks fast ???   or what kinda clicking   ??? click when u try and start it  one click  per start?

QUESTION: Yes, when it starts properly... it just turns over. When it doesn't... there is a clicking sound from the car/dashboard or ignition (sound's like a starter that won't turn over...) ... the dashboard flickers in time with the click... and then when we jump the car - it starts first time - no clicks. But the battery and alternator are 'supposedly' fine.

Answer
I would haft to go with the battery.  If there was something not allowing the car not to turn over and when u hook up a jump box to it  and then it works  that does not make anything else in the car work better  it just gives the starter the power to do its job. Get the dam dealer to replace the battery   they should know better  they know battery's go bad in Chrysler's. The only other deal that I have seen what a PAC not starting is the wire for the starter will not click all the way into place  and it will just sit there looking like its locked in place. I don't know if u want to do this but u can  under the front of your car the starter sits back about 1-2 foot and kinda hard to get to there will be a big wire and a small wire reach up in there and make sure the little wire is snapped all the way into the connector.
