Chrysler Repair: odometer tampering, mechanic check, auto purchase

Hello Kevin,
We had a bad experience with an auto purchase and suspect that the
odometer may have been tampered with. A 2006 with only 6000 miles.
They would not provide a carfax "but" said we could do it online ourselves.
Question:
How complicated would it be for an odometer to be set back and how much
approximately would it cost us to have a mechanic check to be sure ?

06 what??? car,van  give me some details  and the last 8 of your vin I will check it through Chrysler's computers.
I doubt now a days that some one can mess with the miles  its all computer controlled and has to be programed into it through the vender of the part.
