QUESTION: I rebuilt a Viper RT10 that had set for five years. Had minor front end damage and drivers door area. Cleaned out gas tank and new fuel pump.  PCM will not bring the ASD and fuel pump relays in. When I hook up DRB it says link error and I can not access the PCM. No wiring problems visable. Any help greatly appreciated Thanks Chuck PS PCM has power and power from switch and a ground.

QUESTION: I am using an aftermarket scanner It works ok on GM products is this a problem? The Viper is a 1996 Thanks!  Chuck
ANSWER: well I asked that for a few issues. 1 if its an aftermarket scanner it does not use the SCI wires that chrysler scanner does. And with the aftermarket scanner  unless its a good one  u cant get into any other of the computers to see if the whole bus is down or just the one to the PCM. What diog tools do u have ??? a volt meter, test light  that sorta things?

QUESTION: Kevin I think I found the reason but dont know why In the PCM black plug A2 ignition is 13 volts A22 battery is 13volts and both grounds A31 A32 are good but the A17 pin out of the PCM the 5 volt sensor supply is only 1.2 volts this is with the wire disconnected to make sure no short in a sensor causing voltage drop. Do you think PCM is bad? I would hate to shell out 500 for nothing but leaning that direction. I really appreciate your help. Chuck Bramblett
ANSWER: Read the email i sent u with a new pic and a connector layout.

QUESTION: The map, crank, cam and TPS were all unhooked  when I checked it in case one of the sensors was bad and I checked the wire to ground no short. I have a 1996 Viper RT 10 service manual  wiring diagram in it and pin outs for all conectors  (Yes it was the k7 orange 5volt feed cavity 17) Thanks!! Chuck

Answer
5 volts on the other sensor wires? not just the 5 volt supply?
if no  PCM.  If u have all of the sensors unplugged and still no 5 volts back prob it at the PCM itself just to make sure and then still 1.5 volts  yes PCM. Not sure on a 96 viper if u haft to have it programed or not  aka the vin and such  never done a viper PCM yet.
