Chrysler Repair: 1999 Sebring convertible: various power devices, flexible coupling, continuity tester

Question
QUESTION: thanks for taking my question. The airbag light goes off after i start the car then comes back on after about 2seconds Also the blower fan does not work or the power windows or the convertible top or the power mirrors. I sure would appreciate any help you could give me

ANSWER: Hi Rick,
Check these fuses:
under the dash - #1,4,16,17,Circuit breaker #19
in the power box under the hood - #11

Then let me know which ones were blown, if any. We'll go into the details on what still doesn't work. The most common reason for the airbag light, other than a fuse, is that the clockspring flexible coupling in the steering column has broken, but check fuses 16 and 17 under the dash first.

QUESTION: i already checked the fuses none blown. If it is the spring is it very hard to replace Thanks again

Answer
Hi Rick,
It involves removing the steering wheel and disconnecting/removing the airbag module and some of the electrical connections to the switches on the steering wheel. It is best described in a couple of pages from the manual that I could xerox and postal mail to you. Let me know you mailing address via the Thank and Rate tab where there is a space for comments.
If you have checked all the fuses I've listed, and all these other devices stopped working about the same time then the other thing to check is the ground connection that most of them (except the blower) pass through which is a bolted connection of the common wires located just in front of the driver's side door opening, about midway off the floor, perhaps screened by the kickpanel. So see if you can find that common ground and make sure it is tight. You might want to recheck the fuses using an ohmmeter or continuity tester because fuses can fail by cracking rather than frankly blowing out and you might not notice.
