Chrysler Repair: T&C rear interior panel removal, postal mail, xerox copy

Question
I'm trying to install a wiring kit for a towing hitch for my 2004 Chrysler Town & Country minivan.  The instructions want me to "partially remove or open" the drivers side rear interior panel to gain access to the wiring harness that feeds the rear tail lights.  I don't want to damage the panel so it flaps loose when I'm finished but when I try and pry the panel open I can see plastic retaining devices of some kind.

How do you get access without tearing up the panel?

Answer
Hi Kevin,
I don't have a manual any newer that '98 so I can't be sure how your vehicle is set up. On that '98 model it shows there to be a jack storage bin directly in front of the tail light assembly and that has a door with a tab on the top that releases it. It would seem to me that would give you access to the harness. So do you have a jack storage area directly inside the hatch opening, with a lid you could remove? If you have to remove the trim panel entirely I would recommend that I send you the 2 pages that describe and show how it is attached. The picture is very helpful.  I can xerox copy and postal mail those to you if you will give me a postal mailing address. Just use the "thank and rate the expert" tab where there is a space for comments.
