Chrysler Repair: Turn/brake Lighting problems:1990 Chrysler LeBaron, 1990 chrysler lebaron, chrysler lebaron

Question
Just got it...only 30k miles - wasn't used that often and was sitting for a few months.  Dash lights cut out when breaking, right blinker jams - but only when lights are on...mechanic couldn't find any electrical issues.  Thought that maybe needed to repair turn signal (though can't find one yet).  Also when driving, especially higher speeds - seems to cut out briefly, but hasn't killed or anything.  I don't know much, but any suggestions are helpful.  Two different issues, or maybe one related electirical issue.  Thanks in advance to anyone who has ideas.

Answer
Hi Tom,
The connection between the brake light circuit and the right blinker is that both are tie into the right rear turn signal relay (located in the relay block which is to the left of your left leg on the cowl panel under the dash, the second and third in the third row). You might try switching the left and the right rear relays and you might want to check whether you have a short to ground in one of your brake light bulbs or sockets at the rear. I haven't identified a relationship with the dash lights yet, but maybe finding something in the rear light relay circuit will solve that one too. It is not a simple circuit unfortunately so we may have to go back and forth about this problem.
