Answer
Hi Javier:
I would suggest that you put a test light or rapidly responding voltmeter (conventional analog) if you have one between pin #6 of the 6-pin connector at the distributor and ground and see if you get pulses on that black/gray wire or not while cranking the engine. It is supposed to drive the spark coil to produce a spark. If not, then I would check for similar pulsing at the crank sensor by putting the test light between the gray/black wire and the black/light blue wire (by probing thru the insulation with very fine straight pins) while rotating the engine by hand with the ignition at "run" position. If you don't see it flash the test light or the voltmeter, you may not have installed it such that the tip of the sensor (with the paper spacer in place) was in contact with the surface of the flex plate, so try repositioning it). If you have pulsing at the crank sensor but not at the coil driver wire then check that the two wires you checked are patent to the ecm (to pin 4 and pin 32 from the coil driver and the crank sensor wires, respectively), and if they are then I would suspect the ecm is bad. There may be a fault code for that sort of failure which you may readout from the memory of the controller, with a OBD-II reader or maybe with the ignition key: on-off-on-off-on and leave on, doing it in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch either the odometer window for a code or the check engine light to do the flash, pause, flash, etc.
Please let me know if this is of any help to you.
