Answer
Hi Kip,
That simultaneous failure is absolutely diagnostic. There is in the power distribution center under the hood (narrow box next to the coolant overflow bottle) a fuse J (40 amp) which powers all those systems. So see if it might be blown or cracked. If it blows again then there are 5 other fuses under the dash that are supplied by it and one of those circuits could be drawing too much current without blowing the secondary fuse (8,9,17,23, and circuit breaker no.1). Those fuses' total capacity is 80 amp so it is possible for the J fuse to blow without any of these 5 blowing. So you may have to pull out those 5, one at a time, to find which circuit is overdrawing the J fuse. The most likely is fuse 23 which is 30 amp and powers the blower motor for the cabin air supply. But try replacing the J fuse first and see if it holds. If you find that when 23 is pulled that J now doesn't blow, then the blower motor may be drawing too much current on the high setting.
