Chrysler Repair: battery temperature sensor wires loose:Sebring, electrical mechanic, sensor wires

Question
I got to check today which wires were those dangling under my car from the picture I had sent you and one is yellow and pink and the other is blue and black. They have some little circuit in bt them that connects them together but one side isn't connected to the blue and black wire. I removed the left front tire and splash shield to see if the wires actually run to the battery but I could not tell. Is there a way I can fix these wires myself or do I need a new set or tech it to an electrical mechanic?

Answer
Hi Colt,
Here is the story:
The "little circuit" is probably the temp sensor itself, which is supposed to be mounted in front of the battery on the body/bumper support to detect the local temperature near the battery. The wires don't go to the battery at all. The black/light blue wire is supposed to go to a splice inside the power distribution center under the hood where it meets up with a same color wires from other sensors and then goes to pin 43 of a black plug at the powertrain controller (it is the common sensor ground wire). The pink/yellow wire goes to pin 52 of that same plug. I don't picture exactly what is going on with your situation, but you need to merely find the other ends of the severed wires nearby, or alternative splice in some new wires from the sensor directly to the pins at that black plug that I referenced above. That is the best I can offer, my friend.
