Chrysler Repair: 2000 Plymouth Breeze 2.4 DOHC, don talbot, 2000 plymouth breeze

Question
My daughter's Car: 69,000 miles  Timing belt broke in May '06. She had it replaced. After replacement the car had a rough idle, then the car began stalling at speed(engine would shut down but restart immediately)and became increasingly worse. After spending a lot of money at several repair shops and 2 dealers I have ended up trying  to find the problem myself. EGR was replaced at one shop and last dealer warrantied the PCM, problem still exists. I have checked sensors, relays, etc., found the IAC motor bad and replaced however it did not cure the problem. Decided to start at the beginning by rechecking the cam/ crank timing. It was off by a couple of teeth. Followed the manual and reset it, now the car will not start at all. Have re-checked and re=checked the cam timing but the cam and crank marks line up as they should. When I try to start the car I get a raw  fuel smell. Spark plugs show no signs of fuel on them, can hear the fuel pump run and pulling a plug and grounding it shows spark. I could definately use some help. Don Talbot

Answer
Probably not the answer you want to hear, but it still sounds like the cam timing is off.Have you checked for codes again.Because if was off a couple of teeth before,it would have set a code.If you had the cam gears off, they have 2 sides to them.that can screw you up too.
