Answer
Hi Jerry,
Again, I don't know specifically about your engine/trans but the trans should have some sort of sensor on it that puts out electrical pulses proportional to the speed of the car, so look for anything with a 2 wire plug that is mounted on the trans, probably near the output drive shafts. The AIS is mounted on the throttle body (which is operated by the gas pedal). It is on the side of the body, has a 4-wire plug, and can be removed by unscrewing several screws. It fits into a passage way and has to move back and forth so clean it out with a q-tip and solvent. Also its tip is changing the size of the air passageway that bypasses the butterfly valve, so clean out that air passageway. Then check that there is continuity between the two inside pins of the plug and continuity between the two outside pins of the plug, assuming that it is set up the way domestic Chrysler AIS motors are wired.
Thanks for the positive rating and nomination.

Hi Jerry,
I assume the codes are universal for Chrysler family of vehicles. The 15 code says that the speed sensor which is located on the output of the trans is failing in getting its signal to the engine/transmission controller. You might not have a speedo/odo function as the result, and if the trans has an electronic controller it might not shift properly or ? Any symptoms like that?
The 25 code says the automatic idle speed motor is not responding to commands from the engine controller. This is located in the throttle body and can be the result of the pintel that is operated electrically possibly being stuck in its orifice due to crud buildup or because the there is something wrong with one of the two actuating coils, or the wires from the engine controller to the AIS motor. You could start by cleaning the passageway and the pintel tip.
If you can tell me what engine and type of trans you have I might be able to give you more specific info IF these components happen to be used in the domestic Chrysler car line.
The 12 code is usually not significant because it simply means that the battery power to the engine controller has been disconnected sometime in the 50-100 key cycles.
And the 55 means simply "end of readout".
So let me know about the details.
