Chrysler Repair: No starter/fuel pump after collision: 99 Concorde, fuel pump relay, side fender

Question
I was recently in a minor front end collision with my 99 concorde that took out the drivers side fender and headlight, When it occurred the car stopped and when you turn the key nothing happens. All other electrical items work (radio...) The starter doesnt rotate and the fuel pump doesnt prime.

Answer
Hi William,
This is not so easy because of the possibility of some shaking up of the power distribution center, the box that is up against the inner fender behind the battery.  The place to start would be the fuse called "A" which is the rearmost of the inboard set of 5 fuses in the 10 fuse array. See if you get 12V on both sides of the fuse as compared to the - post of the battery. That is a suspect because both the starter and the fuel pump use that fuse.
If you are lucky that one will be loose in the socket or blown. Otherwise I would also check the autoshutdown relay and fuel pump relay in that box to make sure they are seated in their sockets. I would look at the outside of the box to see if you can notice any damage to the box or the harnesses that are connected to it.
My inclination would be to troubleshoot the entire power distribution center to verify that something wasn't dislodged or in otherways damaged by the accident. I have the full wiring diagrams for the '94 LH body cars which is probably still applicable to your '99.
So check that fuse and then let me know. Do you have a voltohm-meter? Probably the best thing to do is to go thru the power distribution box to see what can be found by verifying each of the princepal circuits.
