Chrysler Repair: Radio fuses: where in 2001 T&C?, digital data communication, power fuses

Question
Do you know whewre fuses are in 2001 chrysler T&C. Radio was working fine, shut cat off and when I came back, radio would not work...Cannot find fuses to check it.  Thanks Chuck

Answer
Hi Chuck,
There are two locations for radio fuses: under the hood on the left (driver's side) there is a long narrow box just behind the radiator support panel that has all the major power fuses (see fuse 28 in that box), and under the dash on the driver's side near the side panel is another place called the junction box (see fuse 8 in that box). Look closely at the fuses to make sure there is not a crack in the center wire. These are based on the nearest manual I have which is the '98 van manual. Both are 10 amp in size.
If the fuses are good, then it could be a problem with the body computer which communicates to the radio about what speakers, etc. you have requested, in the case that you have controls for the radio on the steering wheel. That complication open the can of worms about digital data communication bus issues, unfortunately. I hope you find that it is just one of those two fuses, and that I have I.D'd them for your 2001 model. It could be a temporary glitch in the communication system, so if you can't find a fuse try waiting a bit to see if it comes back on its own.
